Do I need a title to junk my car?

Yes. Florida law requires proper title transfer for vehicle disposal, so you need a title in your name or documented legal authority. We cannot remove a car belonging to someone else. If the title is lost, the DHSMV has a duplicate title process.

Will you pay me for my junk car?

Often yes. Complete vehicles with the engine, transmission, catalytic converter, and wheels present that roll and are accessible from the street usually carry recoverable scrap value, and we pass that through to you.

When would I have to pay instead?

When the car is heavily stripped, has no wheels or seized axles requiring winching or on-site dismantling, sits in a difficult location like a fenced backyard, or is burned or crushed with most of its value already gone.

Do you take cars that do not run?

Yes. Non-running, wrecked, flood-damaged, rusted-out, and long-abandoned vehicles are all removed. Whether it rolls affects the price because a rolling car can be towed while a seized one must be winched or dismantled.

What should I do before you arrive?

Check the glove box, center console, trunk, and under the seats for documents, garage remotes, and paperwork. Remove your license plate. Afterward, file the notice of sale or transfer with the Florida DHSMV and cancel your registration and insurance.

What happens to the car?

It goes to a licensed auto recycler where fluids, batteries, refrigerant, mercury switches, and tires are removed and managed properly, then the steel and aluminum are recycled. Roughly three quarters of a vehicle by weight is recovered.

I got a code enforcement notice. Can you come quickly?

Yes, we prioritize code enforcement situations because fines accumulate daily. Tell us your compliance deadline when you call and we will schedule around it, and we photograph the cleared spot for your case file.

Do you handle flood-damaged vehicles?

Yes, and we remove many after hurricane season in Pinellas County. Saltwater destroys wiring harnesses and electronics beyond economical repair, which is why insurers total these vehicles almost universally.

Will the price change when the tow truck arrives?

No. You get a flat honest number up front, and that is what happens. Quoting high by phone and renegotiating on arrival is a common tactic in this business, and it is not one we use.

Is junk car pickup available in Tampa or only in Pinellas County?

Both. Tampa gets the same crews, trucks and pricing structure as our Pinellas work. We book junk car pickup in Downtown Tampa, Water Street, Harbour Island, Davis Islands, Bayshore, Beach Park, Old Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights, Town & Country and Brandon. Because Tampa sits in Hillsborough County, disposal runs through Hillsborough facilities, so we quote Tampa jobs with that tipping cost included rather than surprising you later.

Do you cover Clearwater Beach and the condo towers for junk car pickup?

Yes, and we do it constantly. Clearwater Beach, Sand Key and Island Estates buildings almost always require an elevator reservation, a certificate of insurance naming the association, and a set haul window. We carry current insurance and file the COI before the truck leaves. Mainland Clearwater — Countryside, Northwood, Del Oro Groves, Downtown Cleveland Street — is simpler and usually books faster.

What other Pinellas County cities do you cover?

Effectively all of them. Mid-county we run Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole. North county is Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar and East Lake.
