Do you remove the concrete post footings?

We can, and it is quoted separately because it is the biggest cost variable. Cutting posts at grade and leaving the concrete is substantially cheaper. If a new fence is going in, the footings must come out because new posts cannot go where old concrete is.

How is fence removal priced?

By linear foot and fence type. Chain link is typically cheapest because it is light and the metal has scrap value. Wood privacy fence is heavier with more disposal volume. Footing removal and access difficulty are the other main factors.

Should I have my fence installer do the removal instead?

Often it costs less to hire removal separately. Many fence installers quote removal at a premium or decline it entirely because it is labor they would rather not do. Get both numbers and compare before deciding.

Will you check for irrigation lines before digging?

Yes. Florida yards are full of shallow irrigation running right along fence lines, plus low-voltage lighting. For significant excavation, Sunshine 811 utility locating should be called, which is free and required by Florida law before digging.

What if the fence is on the property line?

Make sure the fence is actually yours before scheduling. Shared and boundary fences can involve a neighbor rights, and we will not remove a fence in dispute without agreement from both parties. It protects you from a costly disagreement.

My fence is my pool barrier. Does that matter?

Yes, significantly. Florida law requires residential pools to have a compliant safety barrier. Have your replacement plan in place before removal, because leaving a pool unenclosed is both dangerous and a code violation. We will flag it if we notice.

Do you clean up the nails and wire?

Yes. We rake the fence line for nails, screws, and wire fragments, which are a genuine hazard for bare feet, pets, and lawn mowers. We also backfill and level post holes so nobody steps in one.

Does the old fence get recycled?

Metal does. Chain link fabric, top rail, posts, aluminum, and wrought iron all go to scrap recycling, and that recovery reduces your price. Wood and vinyl go to disposal since neither is practically recyclable.

Can you handle storm-damaged fencing?

Yes, and we remove a great deal of it after hurricane season in Pinellas County. Collapsed and partially destroyed sections are often more awkward than intact fencing, but it is routine work for us.

Is fence removal available in Tampa or only in Pinellas County?

Both. Tampa gets the same crews, trucks and pricing structure as our Pinellas work. We book fence removal in Downtown Tampa, Water Street, Harbour Island, Davis Islands, Bayshore, Beach Park, Old Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights, Town & Country and Brandon. Because Tampa sits in Hillsborough County, disposal runs through Hillsborough facilities, so we quote Tampa jobs with that tipping cost included rather than surprising you later.

Do you cover Clearwater Beach and the condo towers for fence removal?

Yes, and we do it constantly. Clearwater Beach, Sand Key and Island Estates buildings almost always require an elevator reservation, a certificate of insurance naming the association, and a set haul window. We carry current insurance and file the COI before the truck leaves. Mainland Clearwater — Countryside, Northwood, Del Oro Groves, Downtown Cleveland Street — is simpler and usually books faster.

What other Pinellas County cities do you cover?

Effectively all of them. Mid-county we run Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole. North county is Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar and East Lake.
